Appraisal & Counterfeit Guide
I read the hand chart off the Steam screenshot first: aluminum +0, carbon +50, gold +200. The rest of the sum is the 29 October appraisal notes, which only had page 1 of the official booklet in view, so I call the total a worked table, not a full official reprint.
Joining the board
The Appraisal Board visits on day 8. Join fees in the 1.0 notes are 85 on Mark Up, 85 on Price Gouge, 170 on Thin Margins, and 255 on Red Ink. You can ask them to come back. Joining gives the service notes, a four-page hand guide, a second magnifier, and a junior certificate.
Junior base fee is 20. Condition bonuses on the estimate are Perfect +15%, Excellent +12%, Good +10%, Mediocre +8%, Awful +5%. Accuracy bands are Perfect within 5%, Excellent 10%, Good 15%, Mediocre 25%, Awful beyond that. Customers show up about 33% of days at junior, and only cybernetic hands are in scope until you rank up. The certificate has to sit in a display case.
Hand prices as a sum
Every hand starts at 100 and floors at 50. Material: aluminum +0, carbon +50, gold +200. Condition: none +0, wear −35, damage −85. Interface: EMG +0, EMG+ +45, neural +120, unspecified −60. Add-ons: armored +50, blade +80. Sets: Tactical +100, Deluxe +200. Worked examples in the same notes include gold/damaged/EMG at 215 and Deluxe at 620.
| Good | Base / floor | What fails it |
|---|---|---|
| Ribwich | 150 / 40 | Open pack, bad date, wrong plant code, bad logo |
| Plasma cartridge | 300 / 90 | Wear, crack, grade color, maker |
| Immunivax | not given | Expired, empty, bad serial, recall batch |
Immunivax serial must be 7 digits from 1250000 to 4559999. Recall batches listed: 250, 251, 301, 355, 385, 386, 421.
Confront, and the empty board
Counterfeit Check is a set of toggles, then Confront. A correct call reprices the good. A wrong call costs reputation. Water fails when the label and the scan disagree. Ghostwater sold as Basewater is the usual trick.
Rank fees in the notes: Junior 20 and 100 points, Appraiser 40 and 150 points, Senior 60 and 250 points, Master 100. Fail the exam and wait 7 days. The actual exam questions are not public.
FAQ
Why is nobody using the appraisal board?
The junior certificate only pulls hand jobs, and only if it is in the display case and activated. Day-8 join can also be postponed.
Is the hand formula official text?
Page 1 of the booklet is on the Steam shot. The full sum is the guide’s addition of later pages they saw in play notes, not a transcript of all four pages.
