Endings Guide

I separated the studio sentence from the guide’s list. The launch note says you can buy the shop and then read your stats. The count of 17 screens, and every failure name under it, is the 29 October endings page. An older headline on that site said 14. I kept 17 and noted the older number.

The two wins

Both wins are buyouts. On a rent day the landlord can offer to sell the deed. The guide’s sticker prices are 12,000 on Price Gouge and Mark Up, 24,000 on Thin Margins, and 36,000 on Red Ink, creeping up daily. Clearing the last loan-shark payment is the other buyout. Missing a mortgage payment can be Repossession if you cannot cover it with goods. After a win, the run summary appears and Continue drops the rent clock.

The Steam settlement screenshot reproduced here shows an Aquafarmer run on Price Gouge: 14,600 on the buyout line after 154 days and 6 hours 25 minutes. The allthings.how endings guide also reproduces those figures. That figure is what the screen displayed, not the 12,000 sticker. They are not averaged here. There is no official average playtime.

Failure screens in that list

Rent: defaulting with no grace left, or repossession. Security: arrested on a case from 300 to 1,499 or an unpaid fine, executed at 1,500 or more, or Framed at Security −100 with By Any Means. Factions at −100: Lynched, Assassinated, Bombed, Retired. Lou: Bombed for the crate, or Bombed for the debt. No Permit when enforcement begins without a permit. The guide’s day-24 visit is a warning: permits go on sale two weeks later, with enforcement a week after that. Perk failures: Sentinel Collapse if you skip Immunivax, Augmented if presence hits 100% with Aug Menace, Meltdown if a makeshift reactor is left broken. Three of the names are Bombed and two are Buyout, which is how 17 screens can look like fewer titles.
