Launch-week reviews · not a personal score · checked 2026-10-29
Is Probably Stolen Worth It?
I did not invent a score. Bonus Action’s 9/10 review was readable in this audit. The earlier research recorded DualShockers at 6.5/10, but its page would not load in this pass. Steam counts below are one 29 October response. The spread is the story. Averaging 6.5 and 9 would hide it.
What the two reviews actually said
The earlier content research recorded a PC review from DualShockers at 6.5/10; the source did not load during this audit, so that score and the following summary are not freshly verified. They liked the number of specializations, the trips out to scavenge, and the custom builds. They disliked a loop that repeats and NPC lines that repeat. They wrote “12 specializations.” The launch note lists nine, and the start screen shows a tenth unfinished icon. That 12 is the reviewer’s count, not the announcement.
Bonus Action gave 9 and described the counter rhythm as moreish, with risk sitting next to the margin. They thought Apprentice is the right first start and that it still asks you to juggle too many machines at once.
| Source | Score | Date |
|---|---|---|
| DualShockers | 6.5 / 10 | 2026-10-28 |
| Bonus Action | 9 / 10 | 2026-10-28 |
| Steam user reviews | 1,321 reviews, 97% positive | One fetched response, 2026-10-29 |
The publisher’s launch-hour note reported 95% positive from 400+ reviews and 200,000 copies, with 86,000+ peak players. Another store response in this audit returned 1,264 reviews at 96%; totals vary between captures. Neither response is a permanent review score.

Who it fits
The loop is a counter check, a price, and a machine you set before bed. People who like Papers, Please or a pawn-shop haggle will recognize the day. People who want a story campaign or a fight will not find one in the reviews above. One settlement screen shows a 154-day run in 6 hours 25 minutes. A Taiwan write-up quoted players at 70 hours in the demo and 100 hours with mods. Those are anecdotes, not an average. US$17.99 is the discounted US price through 11 November, from US$19.99, as shown by the live US Steam page.

FAQ
Is there a Metacritic score?
Not one cited here. Two outlet scores and the Steam percentage are the figures that were checked.
Will patches change the review?
The scores are for the 28 October build. Hotfix 1.0.0.2 already moved water prices. Read the updates page before treating a day-one complaint as current.
